AUTOMOTIVE ART DIRECTOR • PHOTOGRAPHER • WRITER

ABOUT
After studying graphic design at art college in Berkshire, I had a brief spell at a local design agency before moving into the world of publishing in 1994. Since then, I have worked on many titles for a number of high-profile clients, including Liverpool Football Club and McLaren F1 team.
In 2003, I became the art editor of Classic & Sports Car – a dream job given my passion for classic vehicles (and an obvious love of old Land-Rovers), and goes some way to explaining why I held the position until 2019!
I have been a regular contributor (photography and editorial) to Classic Land Rover since its launch in 2013 and more recently to Land Rover Monthly.
in early 2019, my first book – Mini Scrapbook: 60 years of a British Icon was published by Porter Press and was soon followed by JUE 477 – The Remarkable History & Restoration of the World's First Production Land-Rover – the culmination of a two year long project following the resurrection of this unique vehicle.
As a full-time freelance art director, photographer and writer, I now specialise in producing automotive content for print. My latest book, Trans-Africa Land-Rover – The story of Philip Kohler and his epic overland adventure, was named the 2022 RAC Motoring Book of the Year in the up to £50 category.
